    • FULL DAY RETREATS

A team of ten missionaries will deliver full day retreats for up to 120 pupils.  Retreats use sketches, activities, small group times, testimonies and teachings which relate to your chosen theme.

For example, Fully Alive: Only God is big enough to fill you. The pursuit of happiness motivates every decision we make. Why is it, then, that we find ourselves unhappy so often? This theme explores our search for true happiness, highlighting the one thing that is big enough to fill our deepest desires – God himself.

A list of our 12 themes can be found below.

Throughout the retreat there is a strong emphasis on listening, acceptance and encouragement. Every NET retreat day concludes with an extended time for the youth to pray and respond to God’s invitation to receive his love.

Our objective is that we provide the catalyst for young people to consider life’s most important questions and that they would experience a personal conversion.
    • CHAPLAINCY SUPPORT TEAMS

A smaller team of five missionaries will work full time in a school for a period of four weeks. Their time  will mainly be spent in RE classes presenting short retreats which will include a talk, testimonies, gospel based dramas, witness, prayer and reflection.

The team will work in collaboration with the school chaplain, RE department and chaplaincy team to prepare and facilitate any assemblies or times of prayer and worship. Along with supporting Caritas pupils in the deepening of their spiritual life, we help pupils develop leadership skills. As part of engaging in the life of the school, the team can liaise with the local parish.

The  missionaries will also be available to the pupils at intervals, lunch times and after school which allows them to form organic relationships with team members. This creates a foundation of trust where young people feel safe and more confident in sharing their personal thoughts and questions about faith. This naturally encourages classroom discussions to transition from a light touch experience to deeper conversations and understanding of gospel teachings which the pupils can then relate to their own lives.
